Isaac Jung is a high school student in La Cañada and founder of Project WORTHY (WORking Together for Homeless Youth), a non-profit dedicated to supporting youth affected by homelessness and poverty. His work stems from his passion for both community impact and STEM eduction. Through seasonal carnivals, science lessons, and student mentorship, he has worked to create meaningful connections and opportunities for young learners. Isaac first became aware of this need after volunteering at his local food shelter, where he came to discover the challenges facing homeless youth. This brought him the inspiration to take action beyond traditional service. Over the past three years, he has been able to empower underserved elementary and middle school students under the belief that every child deserves access to enriching learning experiences, no matter their circumstances.
